Just In: Ondo CJ , Odusola Swears in Aiyedatiwa as Governor Ondo State.

The Chief Justice of Ondo State, Justice Olusegun Odusola has sworn in Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the Governor of Ondo State. The event which took place today 27th Wednesday 2023 as the 7th governor of the state ,at the Coco conference Hall in Akure following the death of Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN CON who died of cancer on Wednesday 27th at the Germany as reported by the government of Ondo State..
The Chief Justice of Ondo State Justice Odusola administered the oath of office to his excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the 7th executive governor of Ondo State. Aiyedatiwa said he would do all right to all people according to the law of the state. He promised to devoted his services to the well being of the people of Ondo State and Nigeria in general.
Similarly, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa said he recognized all the government officials , the traditional rulers, party members and the Pressmen that present . He sympathized with the family of the former Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN CON. He said there is no armour against death as death could even laid hands on the king . He said the death of the governor was a painful thing to him personally due to the favour he had done for him by picking him as his running mate during his second tenure in office till death struck. He described late Akeredolu as a man of courage with boldness of his capacity as he stood for what he believed in even to the point of his death, he always speak the truth.
He said he would continued the legacy of the work of his predecessor. He said it’s necessary for us to acknowledged the legacy of Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN CON as his achievements was monumental .He prayed that God should grant the family the fortitude to bear the Lost.
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa appreciated the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice Alhaji Kashim Shettima for their roles in ensuring that peace reigned in the state.
The event was attended by the Hon. Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Olamide Oladiji, other Honourable members of the law Makers , state executives members, Anthony General and commissioner for Justice of the state Charce Titiloye, High Court Georges , Chairman of the Ondo State APC Party Engr. Ade Adetimehin and host of other top government functionaries we’re in attendance.
