I will begin with some imported poetic words that people used to describe the late Ruth Edu, as captured by the golden pen of this small epistle. The expressions like,
Your life was a blessing
Your memory is a treasure
You are loved beyond words and
Missed beyond measure.
The above, expressed how the lifestyle of the late Ruth Oluremilekun Edu, was being appreciated and loved by those people within the community where she served, as her positive actions had impacted so many people in the society.

Life is full of activities and each event in this sinful life is instituted by men and women. The good and bad events are attributed to human but the good thoughts of every good people on this Earth is for him or her to be attributed with good events while on earth, so that by the time he or she departs from this world, people would have one or two good things to say about him. It is against this background that this piece has to x-ray the mammoth crowds besieged the celebration of an accomplished woman called Chief Mrs Ruth Oluremilekun Edu on earth, as her children and the society celebrated her in a grand style on earth.

Children and in-law of Mrs Edu in the church

Born on February 1945 to September 2023, from Ode Aye, in Ikale land in Ondo State. Aged 78 years, chief Mrs Ruth Oluremilekun Edu was an educationist, an Administrator, a politician as well as a Philanthropists to the call.

She served as the Chairperson of the Ondo State Scholarship Board, Akure, during the former Governor Olusegun Mimiko tenure and she used her position to empower students at the various higher Institutions. The giving of scholarships to the students was rampant during her tenure, as many students benefited from the scheme during her time.

         Crowd at the reception

Being a Proprietor of Olufunmilayo Nursery and Primary school Akure, Chief Mrs Ruth Oluremilekun Edu had trained many students and each of them have become great and wonderful people in the society, through the wealth of experience they received from her while she was alive. For instance some of her children that were celebrating her today passed out from the school their mother established and each of them are flourishing in their chosen career today.

However, the level of the achievements of good people on earth, most of the time can be determined by the type of crowd that would surface during his burial ceremony. The case of Mrs Ruth Oluremilekun Edu was an example of mammoth crowds that attended the burial ceremony as the whole Saint Thomas Event Centre was filled up to it’s capacity.

The Church service also witnessed crowd which was a clear testimony to the fact that mama’s burial commanded mammoth crowds, as the whole church benches was filled up with dignitaries that graced the occasion. People like former Governor of Ondo State, DR Olusegun Mimiko and his Wife Oluwakemi Mimiko, Barrister Eyitayo Jegede, Hon. Awude and host of others were in attendance during the Church service.

Similarly, the burial which was in a segment, starting from the book launch written by mama, of which she couldn’t complete before departing from this sinful world. But the Children later completed it, the launching witnessed massive turn out in the Royal Bird Hotel.

The Christian wake keep and the lying on stage and the reception was filled with people who showed compassion and love to the family. The book, titled “The Young shall grow” was written to assist and encourage the less privileged in the society, to believe in their talent for development.

How RUTH EDU’S burial commanded crowd was a reflection of the good deeds of this woman, her good gesture became the talk of the town especially among the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools–NAPPS, in Nigeria. The members of this group eulogized her efforts in the formation of the group, of which the association have now become something of recognition in the history of Nigeria Educational system. The group are now running a strong and formidable educational system in our community till today, courtesy of late Chief Mrs Ruth Oluremilekun Edu.

From the information gathered, the late Ruth taught her group members some good virtue and attributes like hard work, zealousness, unity and love. Today, one could deduce from the burial events of the Late Ruth Oluremilekun Edu that it’s good to be good to humanity. Touching life in different angles is what people should be doing, if actually they want their life to command crowd like this type after they have exited this world.

Let your lifestyle impact the people around you. Use the little resources God has given you to assist others and ensure that your wealth of knowledge, experience and acumen were made to benefit the people and the society at large . Don’t be a professional destroyer to your fellow human if you actually want people to honour you when you are gone .
In another development, the guests who came from far and near, both home and abroad to the burial were treated with good hospitality. The imbecile tool had some good time as majority of them that cluster around the place where the celebration was going on had a share of their own african and international dishes to go home with.

This is to tell you that it’s good to impact many lives in all ramifications, just because of the great day like this. Chief Mrs Ruth Oluremilekun Edu has done her bit while living and the seed of goodness she showed to people’s life is what you see today germinating into great crowd of love, happiness, peace and good inter-personal relationship among the good people of Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

Will your life style impact people and command crowd after you must have departed from this world?
