All things being equal and normal, the much awaited Rural Agricultural Access Marketing Market being sponsored by the World Bank is going to become a reality soon as all the money and other logistics for its completion had been provided by the funding organization.
This was made known by one of the highly placed official of the Rural Agricultural Access Market Project during the stakeholders meeting at Ojomu Hall at Owa’s palace, Odode Idanre when the Chief Consultant of the Project, Engr. Clifford Ordia, was briefing and explaining the details of the structures earmarked for the market to the people of Idanre.
During the gathering, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV(JP) OFR, Owa of Idanre kingdom and paramount ruler of Idanre kingdom, who was represented by Chief Bello Ilemobola, the Adaja of Idanre kingdom, pledged to give more assistance and support to the project to ensure its prompt take off and assured that Idanre people, are ready to cooperate well with those that will handle the construction to facilitate their work. He however, advised that the buildings should be well marked for easy identification.


Princess Nike Akingboye Aroloye, the Iyaloja General of Idanre land expressed her unhappiness with the absence of Creche, canteen and coldroom in the design brought as against her earlier suggestion to them while Mr. Fajorin Ojo, who represented the Head of Local Government Administration of Idanre Local Government said Idanre Local Government is very lucky to have been one of the three local governments that will benefit from the World Bank project in Ondo State for now. He posited that the importance of Idanre while talking about financial contributions to Ondo State economy cannot be downplayed and he thus appealed to Idanre people to ensure proper utilization of the resources put at their disposal. He, however, sought more parking space for the heavy duty vehicles expected to be visiting the market.


High Chief Akinfolarin Adejisola, the Yeyelobun of Idanre Land pledged to work hand in hand with other stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of siting the market in Idanre will be fully realized.
Princess Nike Akingboye Aroloye, promised to make sure all the various iyalojas in the markets in Idanre are well mobilized for proper usages and maintenance of the facilities. She expressed happiness that God allowed her to be partaker of the project and prayed that God allows her and other stakeholders to witness the commencement and operation of the market.
Engr. Adeyonu Adeyemi Adedokun who stood in for the State Project Coordinator, Engr. Femi Adetanmi, appealed to the people of Idanre to ensure the market facilities are well utilized, properly maintained and see the market as their own which should thus be well treasured.
Meanwhile, Engr. Mrs Fajemilusi O. O. said that corrections can still be made before the final design of the market project.
Some of the facilities expected in the market are Access roads, Lock up shops, Clinic, Abbatoir, Security / Gate post, Fire post, NURTW Office,Livestock shed, Warehouse, etc, … Agbelusi Ganiyu reporting for Idanre Media Services @060224
