MAJOR STAKEHOLDERS OF APC AKURE NORTH LG, ADOPTS AIYEDATIWA.

It was a carnival like on Tuesday as major stakeholders of All Progressives Congress ( APC ) in Akure North Local Government adopted Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa as APC 2024 Governorship candidate.

The Local Government APC chieftains, party Executives and members of the party converged at Oba Ile Youth centre , in Oba Ile to adopt the incumbent Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the party Governorship candidate in the LG .

The Acting Chairman of the party in the local government, Comrade Ayodele Atanniyi led other Ten out of the Twelve ward chairmen of the party and the local government executives of the party including the Senatorial Youth leader of Ondo Central, Mr. Paul Adeniyi for the adoption of Governor Aiyedatiwa at the meeting.

The APC Iyaloja General of the State, Chief Mrs Funke Adu led Akure North chapter of Iyalojas of the party, (The E lo so loja group) to the meeting, while Mr Arinse led the non natives in the Local Government to the event.

Party Executives of the twelve wards were also in attendance.

Equally are party leaders that included former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kenneth Olawale, former Chairman of Ondo State Water Corporation, Chief Dapo Filani, DG Tinubu/ Shettima Campaign Director in Akure North and South, Mr Sunday Falae, former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructures, Hon Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, former Chairman, Akure North Local Government, Hon Dele Fagoriola, Hon Simbo Akinola Obey, Hon Ayo Fadipe, Hon Rotimi Adeleye, Hon Korede Folounroso, the suspended Chairman Caretaker committee of Akure North, Chief Tayo Fayanju, his counter part in lgba Otun LCDA , Mr Kunle Ogunniyi and the former Local Government Secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Olubi were also in attendance.

The Monarch of the host community, Oba Joseph Agunbiade was represented at the colourful occasion by seven of his senior high Chiefs, led by Senior High Chief Elemo, Chief Oluwatimilehin Gbemisayo.

Representatives of Mr Governor at the well attended event included, Hon. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, Hon Muyiwa Ogunleye (Eyiyato), Otunba Ayodele, Segun Adeleye and Special Assistant to Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Smart Omodunbi.

Others at the event are, Deputy Chairman, Special Operations, Landed Properties in Lagos State, Hon Dipo Okeyomi (Carry Go), former Chairman, Akoko North East LG, Hon Bisi Ogunyemi and others.

Leaders in the meeting spoke their minds on the achievements of Mr Governor within the short period he came to power and why they have decided to adopt him as candidate of the party.

Hon Keneth Olawale described Aiyedatiwa as a courageous man with accommodating heart.

Goodwill message of the pioneer and incumbent Chairman of the Elders consultative forum of APC in Ondo State, Senator Olorunnibe Farukanmi was delivered by Chief Tayo Fayanju, while Mr Sunday Falae described Aiyedatiwa as bridge builder.

Hon Saka Yusuf Ogunleye described Mr Governor as Joshua of our time.

While Chief Mrs Olufunke Adu, the iyaloja of APC in the State and the Local Government Women leader of the party, Mrs Funmilayo Akeredolu informed the crowd the readiness of women in the Local Government to vote Aiyedatiwa as APC candidate in the 2024 Governorship primary.

Responding, Hon. Smart Omodunbi jnr. described Aiyedatiwa as a man of honour and committed party man that will keep to his electoral promises.

Hon Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson appreciated the people of Akure North local Government for organizing a befitting gathering in honour of Mr Governor, as he thanked the leadership of the party in the LG for being in the positive side of history.

House of Assembly member representing Akure North Local Government, Hon. Kolawole Ologede, and former House of Assembly candidate, Barrister Olu Akinola sent their apologies.

Before the commencement of the meeting, a minute of silence was observed in honour of the late Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON.
