The All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leaders across the 11 wards in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo state have declared their support for the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the 2024 governorship election in the state.

The group, which was led by the Owo Local Government APC youth leader, Oluwole Olugbode, made this declaration while on a courtesy call on the deputy governor of Ondo state, Dr Olayide Adelami, with whom they have a long-standing political relationship.

Speaking on behalf of the team, Olugbode said the youth leaders came to thank Governor Aiyedatiwa for appointing one of their own as deputy governor.

He described Adelami as a philanthropist per excellence for his various grassroots projects that have impacted positively in the lives of the masses in Owo and across Ondo state.

The youth leader reposed confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration to take Ondo state to greater heights, saying the deputy governor will definitely bring his wealth of experience to bare in ensuring that the governor succeeds in office.

According to him, “we are here to let you know that we are speaking with one voice as youth leaders of APC in Owo and we have resolved to support Governor Aiyedatiwa because we believe in his vision for Ondo state. Also, we count ourselves lucky to be part of this project”

The APC Youth leader of Emure Ward II, Sunday Kazeem, said they will go into the nooks and crannies of Ondo state to canvass more support for the governor. He asked that the deputy governor carries them along as the Ondo state governorship primary election draws nigh.

Responding to the youth leaders, Adelami reiterated Governor Aiyedatiwa’s drive to make Ondo the best run state in the country in every sector of the economy. He said youth development and empowerment is at the center of the governor’s agenda and that he will ensure no one is left behind.

“Ondo state is lucky to have a listening political leader as governor. I can tell you he means well for the people and he has designed various programs, projects and policies that will make life more meaningful for the people of the state.

“I want to thank you for coming at this time to identify with this project. I can assure you that it is the right thing to do as it is a God-ordained project” Adelami said.
