This year world Communication day witnessed large turn as Journalists converged at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, located at Oba Adesina Road, Akure . The theme of this year celebration was on Artificial Intelligence and the Wisdom of the Heart: Towards a fully Human Communication .

The expert calls for peace among the families, the society and the world at large for the benefits of the humanity.  Reverend Father Austin Ikwu  who blessed the congregation through the sprinkle of the Holy water on the Church to signifying purity and blessings upon the the people prayed that God would be with everyone and bless all their families.

The people were advised to be awared of the happening within their environment and also advised to communicate positive words that would edify the society rather than words that could tear the peace of the community. They urged the families to be united for the sake of peace of their children and the community at large .

In a bit to pray for various segments of the aspects of communication that involves communicators experts, the Reverend Father Augustin Ikwu led some members to the alter to offered their prayers on different categories of the various channels of communications that are being used.

While members were taking their turns to pray, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Ondo State Council, Prince Leke Adegbite  who led the Journalists to the event prayed for the protection of the Media practitioners and their various medium organizations that God should grant them peace, reward them and accept their prayers at all times in the cause of their line of duties.
