In a press release made available to the pressmen by the converner of Kalesanwa Socio-Political Group said, it is demonic for the people in the senatorial district to have been leaving in darkness for the past 15 years.

Oladunni lamented the perpetual darkness in the five communities of Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Okitipupa, Irele and Odigbo Local Government Areas of Ondo State in the last 15 years of utter darkness, and described the situation as embarrassing and demonic.

He said, ” It is unfortunate situation in South Senatorial district in Ondo State where 90 percent of the people have been deprived of electricity power supply for the past 15 years.

It is so sad that for the last 15 years , the 5 local government areas had been without electricity supply in this age and time.

It’s a disaster and shameful to all political office holders from the zone not to find solution to the issue of darkness in the district.

The situation is embarrassing and despicable because I continued to wonder if the district is still part of Nigeria because suffering from electricity blackout for the past 15 years has grounded many economic activities in the district “, he said.

The former governorship aspirant wondered why the Senatorial District suffering from electricity power supply, generates electricity in Omotosho Power Plant in Okitipupa Local Government with the capacity of 512.8MW and 451MW Net since 2005, without the people from the district benefitting from the distribution.

Oladunni stated further that, many of the artisans in the communities have painfully jettisoned their work and engaged in other lawful and unlawful businesses because the electricity problem had crippled their work.

He said, ” Many of the artisans in the communities have painfully jettisoned their work and engaged in other lawful and unlawful businesses because the electricity problem had crippled their work”.

Oladunni called on all the political office holders in the Senatorial District to put their heads together to let be the light in the district.
