HEALTH: Nurses Takes Patients Information Before Seeing Doctor.
By Olusegun HOSEA . 8th July, 2024.

The process that patients go through before seeing Doctor on duty in the hospital is more cumbersome no matter how early a patient arrived ,particularly in the general Hospital .As Patients are first subjected to some what they called normal medical process routine before they could see the Doctor on duty depending on the sections a patient need to see the Doctor. Part of this process they passed through, starting from the health information registering where some auxiliary Nurses would helped to look for the patient cards before taking it to the Nurses that would check their blood pressure to determine their health fitness before seeing Doctor. In most cases, a patient is under compulsion to put on his nose mask where they don’t have such patients would be asked to buy from some of the Nurses that are selling the products before he or she could be attracted to.

In another development a Roving Preacher would first and foremost preached the words of God to the patients seated waiting to see the Doctor and thereafter, the Nurses would started attending to the Patients one after the other before they would have to bring their cards out, to be calling them one after the other to see the Doctor.
This was the case of most of the Patients that wanted to see the Doctor at the General Hospital in Akure , at the Autopeadic Department where Doctor used to treat those patients that have problems with their joints, born and other part of their body that related to born.
A patient who spoke to Exponent Magazine News-Online on the condition of anonymity said he had been in the hospital as early as 7:00am as he was told to come early but he was not attended to not until 9:49am to 10:06 when they started calling names written on the cards of the patients for documentation. He said the problem was that the process was not that fast as most of the Nurses arrived late . In some cases the first person normally becomes the last person as most of the cards were missed up together thereby putting the first person to the last while the Doctor are inside their office gisting with their colleagues since the patient cards are not forth coming as fast as it ought to have come in from those Nurses at work. Patient complaint that they the Nurse do not attended to them according to the ways they arrived as number one could be the last number most of the time .
