Parallels of Power: Trump and Cyrus Linked Again After Assassination Attempt
By Adonis Byemelwa
On November 2, 2020, biblical and historical analyses ignited comparisons between former President Donald Trump and ancient Persian King Cyrus, highlighting their pivotal roles in shaping their nations’ destinies.
These prophetic parallels were thrust back into the spotlight on July 15, 2024, when an assassination attempt on Trump during a Phoenix appearance echoed the ancient dangers faced by King Cyrus.
As bullets flew and chaos erupted, the dramatic scene underscored the persistent volatility surrounding Trump’s political career and deepened the narrative of destiny, danger, and divine intervention.
King Cyrus, who ruled the Persian Empire starting in 559 B.C., is renowned for his decree allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem and rebuild their temple, marking the end of their Babylonian captivity.
This act of liberation, chronicled in the Bible’s book of Ezra, states, “The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.” Cyrus’s reign and pivotal decree were seen as fulfilling prophecies detailed centuries earlier by the prophet Isaiah.
Fast forward to contemporary times, Trump’s presidency has been compared to that of King Cyrus, especially by some evangelical circles.
This analogy gained traction when Trump ordered the relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem, a decision celebrated precisely 70 years after Israel’s recognition as a nation.
Many saw this act as symbolically akin to Cyrus’s decree, reinforcing the notion that Trump, much like Cyrus, played a role in shaping the destiny of Israel.
The numerology surrounding Trump’s life and presidency also added to this narrative. The significance of the number seven in biblical prophecy is well-documented, representing completeness and divine perfection.
Remarkably, Trump assumed office at the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 7 days, in the Hebrew year 5777. These coincidences extended further: Trump won the election with 77 electoral votes after seven defectors, took office in the seventh year of the decade (2017), and his first press conference lasted 77 minutes.
As well, his actions, such as the military strike against Syria on his 77th day in office and his notable meeting with Vladimir Putin on July 7, 2017, underscored the prevalence of the number seven.

Beyond numerology, Trump’s family dynamics and historical milestones also intersected intriguingly with the number seven. He was raised in a family of seven, and his immediate family also consisted of seven members.
His eldest son, Donald Jr., was born in 1977. Notably, the word “trump” first appears in the seventh book of the New Testament, adding a layer of biblical resonance to his name.
The most striking celestial event during Trump’s presidency was the total solar eclipse in August 2017, his seventh month in office, with another eclipse scheduled for 2024, forming a cross over the United States.
Prof Emeritus Edwin N. Mollel, based in Ghana, has attributed these details in his recent viral text, emphasizing the symbolic interplay between Trump’s presidency and biblical numerology
This phenomenon drew parallels to biblical signs, with the intersecting paths of the eclipses crossing a region named “Little Egypt,” symbolizing significant prophetic imagery.
Phil Andrew, a former FBI agent and head of the Pax Group security consulting firm, highlighted the need for constant evolution and adaptation to new threats and circumstances. Speaking on July 16, 2024, Andrew emphasized the importance of FBI investigations in preventing future incidents by understanding what went wrong.
“They are constantly evolving and trying to adapt to new situations, new circumstances, and new threats,” he said. “There will be some insights learned and some augmentations to how they deploy, perhaps how many deploy and what takes place in terms of coordinating very carefully with local law enforcement.”
The assassination attempt on Donald Trump thrust the Cyrus-Trump comparison back into the limelight. The attempt, foiled by Secret Service agents, occurred during a public appearance in Phoenix, Arizona.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene as shots rang out, narrowly missing the former president. Authorities quickly apprehended the suspect, whose motivations remain under investigation. This event echoes the ancient threats faced by King Cyrus and underlines the persistent volatility surrounding Trump’s political career. As the investigation unfolds, the parallels between Trump and Cyrus grow even more striking, deepening the narrative of destiny, danger, and divine intervention.
