Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Anneliese Dodds, the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for Development and Minister of State for Women and Equalities. Administrator Power and Minister Dodds discussed the important and long-standing partnership between the United States and the United Kingdom for addressing a range of development and humanitarian challenges, as well as ongoing humanitarian responses in Gaza, Sudan, and Ukraine. They underscored the shared commitment of the U.S. and UK to coordinate and align efforts for these and other humanitarian challenges.
Administrator Power and Minister Dodds also discussed shared priorities, including advancing democracy, addressing food insecurity, empowering women and girls, and mitigating lead exposure
