FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter

CALLS FOR RESTRAINT AND DIALOGUE

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter, appeals to Nigerian youths, particularly in Ondo State, to refrain from the planned protest scheduled to begin on 1st August 2024.

While the Institute understands the frustrations and concerns of the youths regarding the economic hardship facing the country, we believe that protest may not be the most effective way to address these issues, as such approach in the past had been counter productive Instead, we encourage the youths to engage in constructive dialogue with the government by tabling their concerns and working together to find solutions.
We also charge the government at all levels to be responsive to the plight of Nigerians by taking concrete steps to address the economic hardship facing the country and its citizens. The government must be seen to be working to create an enabling environment for economic growth, job creation, and social development.
Let us work together to build a better Nigeria for all.

*Signed*

Funmilayo Ikueduranni
Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter
*Date:* 29th July 2024
