*ONDO HIGH COURT AFFIRMS HRH MICAH OLASENI AJIJO AS AUTHENTIC OGELOYINBO OF AIYETORO COMMUNITY*
…declares Ogeloyinbo a native chief and traditional ruler of the town
Ondo State High Court has declared his Royal highness (Ambassador) Micah Olaseni Ajijo as the authentic Ogeloyinbo of Aiyetoro Community and the Spiritual Head of the Holy Apostles Church World Wide with headquarters in Aiyetoro Community in Ilaje Local Government Area Government Area of Ondo State.
Yesterday judgement came on the heel of a contest for the well revered throne of Ogeloyinbo of Aiyetoro Community by a splinter group lead by a self acclaimed one Prophet, Oluwambe Ojagbohunmi against the popular choice of Oba Micah Olaseni Ajijo, a former International Banker with African Development Bank ADB and a Diplomat by the igharafa that has the authority to enthrone a king in the ancient community.
It is generally believed that, this long awaited judgement by the Court of Competent jurisdiction has put paid for life the unnecessary imbroglio and struggles for the throne of Ogeloyinbo of Aiyetoro Community and criss of confidence of who truly is the authentic Traditional Authority ruling the popular theocratic community.
According to a lawyer who wish to remain anonymous for certain reasons best known to him, this judgement came with many implications on the power and right of any person that occupies that office of Ogeloyinbo of Aiyetoro Community.
According to him as declared by the High Court Ogeloyinbo of Aiyetoro Community is not only the Head of a religious community but is also a native authority or native chief and traditional ruler of the community
The learned mind added that.as if that Is not enough the judgement has once and for all settled for life the contentious issue of whether the Head of the theocratic community, The Ogeloyinbo is a traditional ruler with a native authority or just a religious leader and head of a church or a religious movement. This judgement in all intents and purposes has affirmed and confirmed the held long popular believe by the people of Aiyetoro Community that their Head is an Oba like any other native authority or chief in Yoruba land
Meanwhile, the Palace of HRH OBA AMB MICAH OLASENI AJIJO The Ogeloyinbo of Aiyetoro Community has been in a festive mood since the judgement was delivered by Ondo State High Court of Okitipupa Division on Thursday 17th November, 2022, as people from all walks of lives, far and near have been thronging the place to wish The King well and felicitate him on success and victory at the court after Seven Years long drawn legal battle.
