NHIS: Grants Mother AND CHILD HOSPITAL AND OTHER ACCREDITATION

The authorities of National Health Insurance Scheme- NHIS has granted Mother and Child Hospital in Ondo State and other accreditation to effectively carry out health care service to the general public. The NHIS expanded her coverage towards some health care facilities in the State for effective health care service delivery some time last year..
The information was made known to EXPONENT MAGAZINE NEWS by the Desk officer who is working in one of the Federal Government Ministries during the week. It was revealed that the Organization carried out an accreditation exercise of some health care facilities in the state last year November and December 2022 in order to fast track the accreditation of those health care centre for effective service delivery.
According to the Desk officer, he said about twenty (20) health care Facilities had been accredited . His words ” In line with the mandate of the authority towards expanding health insurance coverage, we carried out an accreditation exercise of some healthcare facilities in Ondo State around November/December 2022. It’s my pleasure to inform you that the following facilities have now been granted accreditation as follows ”
1) Mother and Child Hospital, Akure.
