GOV. Akeredolu To Proceed On Medical Leave As Aiyedatiwa Resumes In Acting Capacity.

The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN CON would commence yet on another Medical vacation in order to have time to attend to his health Challenge. The information which was signed and released by his Chief Press Secretary and made available to the Pressmen, the medical vacation would commenced tomorrow Wednesday 13th December , 2023 as a follow -up to his medical treatment. While the Governor is expected to be absent from the office for some times, the Deputy Governor is expected to take charge of the activities of the governance in an acting capacity in order to ensured that things are running the way it should be.

A formal letter regarding the medical leave and a notice formally transferring power in line with the Nigerian Constitution will be transmitted to the House of Assembly. You would recalled that on April 1, 2021, April 1, 2022, April 3, 2023, and July 10, 2023, Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN CON started his medical vacation and resumed back to his home at Ibadan this year 2023 without resuming to his physical office in Ondo State as all activities of the Governance are being carried out in his home in Ibadan before embarking on yet another medical leave. Akeredolu Commences Medical Leave
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, will commence his medical leave on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, as a follow-up to his medical treatment.
During his medical leave, Governor Akeredolu will prioritise his health and ensure a full recovery before resuming his official duties.
A formal letter regarding the medical leave and a notice formally transferring power in line with the Nigerian Constitution will be transmitted to the House of Assembly.
In the absence of Governor Akeredolu, the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, will assume the responsibilities of the Governor in acting capacity.
Governor Akeredolu expresses his gratitude for the unwavering support and affection of the people of Ondo State. He assures them that his administration remains committed to the path of progress and prosperity for the people.
As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a widely respected Nigerian, Governor Akeredolu has consistently delegated power to his deputy during his annual vacations. This practice was observed on April 1, 2021, April 1, 2022, April 3, 2023, and July 10, 2023, when he embarked on previous vacations.
