*Ondo NIPR New Year 2024 Message to Governor Ayedatiwa.*
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter congratulates His Excellency Governor Orimisan Lucky Ayedatiwa as the newly sworn-in Governor of Ondo State. It is no longer news that the last week of the year 2023 ushered in the assumption of a new government in Ondo State under the leadership of His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. The trajectory that led to your emergence was not only divine but also dramatic and striking.
Today, Ondo NIPR congratulates you as the will of God finally prevailed in spite of all permutations. As we wish your Excellency happy new year, we equally pray for God’s support to give the good people of Ondo State, irrespective of their political or religious affiliations, the desired quality services needed by the people of the state.
As rightly stated at the Governor’s inauguration address that the interest and welfare of the people will be at the front burner of your administration, NIPR urges you to back this up with all necessary actions through an enhanced and sustained security of lives and properties of our people. The tempo your late predecessor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu started with in securing the boundaries of Ondo State from intruders should be holistically sustained and improved upon.
The ongoing spate of infrastructural development of the late Governor Akeredolu should equally be sustained across all 18 Local Government Areas of the State.
Since Agriculture is key and remains the bedrock of manufacturing economies, it will be productive to prioritize this sector of the economy as a means of job creation within the remaining period of your administration. We strongly believe that Ondo State will be better for it. In achieving these, just as we specifically urge you, never to abandon the engagement of Professionals in all sectors of the economy.
Flowing from the above, the members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter charge you not only to build on Governor Akeredolu’s legacies, but to as a matter of urgency, give the people of Ondo State, the landmark achievements that will critically address the basic needs of law-abiding citizens of Ondo State.
In conclusion, the Institute congratulates you for achieving this feat and wishes you a prosperous and glorious year 2024.
