The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has called on the people to stay connected to God as they journey along in this year. He made the call when he was delivering his sermon on the special thanks giving of the Church, to signal the good beginning for the entire members of the Redeemed families across the globe. The man of God took his text from the book of second Chronicles chapter 1vs 2-6 when King Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings to God Almighty, to praise Him and God gave him a divine Heavenly blank check by answering his request.

While urging people to stay connected with their source, Pastor E.A Adeboye pointed out three things learnt from the prayer of thanks giving of King Solomon to the Lord Almighty.

He said the latter praised God massively by offering one thousand cow as a sacrifice of praises to his Creator and by so doing, God answered all his prayers and also added to him what he did not ask for. He said God gave him much money to the extent that no king during that period was able to match or surpass his wealth.

Similarly, the man of God said the second lesson learnt was that Solomon served God with all his resources. Therefore, he called on the congregation to served God diligently this year with all their time and resources as God is ever ready to raised nobody to become somebody before the end of this year.

He believed that God would give us whatever good request made by the people this year as long as they served Him and stay connected with Him through out.

In another development, Adeboye said the last lesson learnt from the story of King Solomon was that he stayed connected to God. Therefore, he asked all the congregations to stay connected to the one who has positioned them. He said God has power to raise up and bring down anyone.

He provided some of the ways one could stay connected to God Almighty, and this include giving ones life to God by way of surrendering all to God and accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and their personal Saviour.

Also, he asked people to praise Him massively this year, for them to receive His favour. He called on the people to serve Him diligently, pray with Him at all time and remain connected to Him at all times then they would see the favour of God. He made an alter call for the people to accept the Lord Jesus Christ and he blessed those that responded to the alter call.
