As a successful businessman, I will create a lot of wealth in Ondo State -Otunba Bamidele Akingboye

One of the leading aspirants vying for Governorship position under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, popularly known as OBA has made his intention known to lead Ondo State to the next level of greatness by putting his wealth of experience in business to bear in advancing the course of governance in the state.

Akingboye who hailed from Royal Family in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State has been a successful International Businessman for over 40 years; in a media  Parley with journalists  in Oba-ile , Ondo State.

While speaking with newsmen in his residence at  Oba-Ile, in Akure , Akingboye made known his intention to drive the development of the sunshine state through youth empowerment as well as bringing his wealth of experience to bear in making the state to occupy it’s pride of place among the comity of states in Nigeria.

“I have been consulting and planning to change the fortune of the state since over 21 years ago. I have put all the necessary machinery in place to win the Party’s Primaries and general election in this state.

“Since the days of Ajasin, Adefarati and other politicians that ruled Ondo State there is no business oriented person among them, Ajasin was a teacher as well as late Adefarati. I am going to be the first businessman that will lead Ondo State by the grace of God.

“I have been doing my business and I became millionaire when I was 18 years old and ever since I have been maintaining that level, now I think the best way to give back to the society is to come and lead the state at this critical time.

While responding to questions on why the choice of PDP in actuaIizing his good ideas for the state he said he has been a party members from 1999 till date saying that he cannot run away from the party because of some the pressing challenges.

He added that he has been building the party in Ondo State for years and PDP remains the best Political party to drive home his ambition adding that because of the peculiarity of the state he will pick the ticket of the party at the primaries.

Talking about his numerous social impacts, Akingboye said that he gave N2 million to each local government area in the state during Covid-19 time, totaling over N200 millions.

He described himself as a political heavy-duty vehicle that is capable of crushing oppositions saying that he will not step down and that he I will win the primaries come April,2024.

“I don’t believe in zoning rather I believe in the best brain, and I am the best brian among all the contestants in the state.”

He pointed out that: “I patronize my own people in Ilaje area. I am 90 percent in dredging company and real estate business.”

On prevailing insecurity in the country, Bamidele Akingboye said insecurity came as a result of lack of job and hunger. We are going to do everything to tackle this challenge as a matter of urgency if we come to the position of power in Ondo State.

“I have been telling Federal Government of Nigeria to let state control their resources like it is operating in some foreign countries of the world, if this is allowed, it will help the state to develop in all ramifications.

On continuity in Government, Akingboye said his government will put law in place to ensure protection of the resources of the state and that all the projects will be focusing on 50 years duration.

On electricity which he said is the key to development, Otunba Akingboye said his government is going to generate power to make the state a cynosure of all eyes economically.

OBA whose businesses are in different countries of the world saying he is going to replicate the ideas in governing the state.

“If I have opportunity to become the president of Nigeria, I will stop importation so that we can produce in our country as a way to be self independent.
