The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives has directed all her members to commence industrial strikes come next week or down tool following the failure of government to meet their demands..The indefinite strike slated to commence in the Midnight of Wednesday 22nd May 2024. This was made known to our correspondence by the state Secretary of the Council comrade Aina Emmanuel. Below is the full outcome of their deliberation and directive to all their members in the state.

All Unit Officers.

Dear Comrades,

RE: NOTIFICATION OF FOURTEEN WORKING DAYS (14) ULTIMATUM
We write as directed following the meeting of State Administrative Council Members dated 15th May 2024.
You are directed to commence mobilization of Nurses and Midwives in your Hospitals/ Units towards the indefinite strike slated to commence in the Midnight of Wednesday 22nd May 2024.
All the Unit officers are expected to implement the directives and report back to the state council.
While thanking you for your usual cooperation. Please accept the assurances of our highest regards
