OSOPADEC GETS FIRST FEMALE SECRETARY, PRINCESS ABIKE BAYO-ILAWOLE

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has gotten its first female Secretary since the creation of the Commission in 2001, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole.

OSOPADEC was established by an Act of the Ondo State House of Assembly in 2001 to intervene in the development of the oil producing and impacted areas of Ondo State.

Princess Abike Justina Bayo Ilawole was born on the 22nd June,1975 in Akodi Olubo of Obe-Nla, Ilaje Local Government Area Council of Ondo State.

Untill her present position as the Secretary of the Commission, Princess Abike was the first Administrative Officer of OSOPADEC and she later served as the Head of Personnel and Contract Administration Division, Deputy Director of Finance and Administration of OSOPADEC between 2002 to 2010.

She also worked as Director of Personnel Management, Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Deputy Director of Finance and Administration , Ondo State Ministry of Environment, Akure, Deputy Director of Finance and Administration; Ondo State Ministry of Community Development and Cooperative Services, Akure

Director of Finance and Administration/Ag. Secretary Ondo State Office of Public Utilities, Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, Akure, Administrative Secretary, Ondo State Office of Public Utilities, Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, Akure.

The OSOPADEC Secretary holds Master of Technology in Project Management(M.Tech) from Federal University of Technology Akure.

Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (Dip. Th) Redeemed Christian Bible College. 2012, Master of Business Administration (MBA) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. 2012 , Master of Public Administration (MPA) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. 2003

Bachelor of Science (Hons), Sociology, Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti (Now Ekiti State University) 1999, West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) National Comprehensive College, Warri 1993.

Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole is currently rounding up a PhD in Project Management at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
