Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan Honoured as Icon & Most Impactful CPS In History Of Ondo State
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State and Publisher of Trace News Magazine, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, has been honoured as Ondo State Icon and Most Impactful Chief Press Secretary (CPS) in the history of the state.
This prestigious recognition was bestowed upon him on Sunday, 29th September 2024, by the Democrat News Magazine at its annual public lecture and Roll of Honours event, held at HANDEF Hall, adjacent to the Akure South Local Government Secretariat.
In his welcome remarks, the Publisher of Democrat News Magazine, Deacon Alaba Aliu, praised Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan as an exemplary leader with a golden heart, committed to raising younger generations, particularly in journalism.
“Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan has mentored the largest number of journalists in Ondo State today. Many who passed through his professional tutelage are now publishers, while others hold leadership positions within NUJ Chapels and at the State Council level.
“Upon assuming office as Chief Press Secretary to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Prince Adeniyan made indelible impacts on the media landscape of Ondo State in less than a year.
He facilitated monthly running grants for all NUJ Chapels and Independent Publishers Association, and donated television sets, air conditioners, radio sets, and numerous power banks to various media organizations in the state, among other initiatives like Foundation for the widows etc.”
While presenting the award, one of the guests of Honour, Surveyor Kayode Oludare MNIS, CEO of ACE Continental Survey Services Limited, described Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan as an upright man whose contributions to journalism in Ondo State cannot be underestimated.
“I have known him for several years and witnessed his good works, particularly when TRACE Magazine honoured him some years ago,” Oludare added.
In his remarks, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan congratulated the Democrat News Magazine team for the successful 2024 annual public lecture and Roll of Honours. He commended the publisher for his consistency, tracing back to his time at Hope Newspaper as a freelancer, his role as a reporter in Sunshine Daily Watch—the first daily newspaper in Ondo State—and his tenure as a staff writer at Trace Magazine before he started Democrat News Magazine.
Prince Adeniyan also took the opportunity to call on the people of Ondo State to support Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and vote massively for him on November 16, 2024, to ensure the continuation of the good works he has started.
Earlier, on the topic “Navigating Economic Turbulence: Strategies for Sustainable Growth in Nigeria”, Pastor (Dr.) Marcus Akinduko, an erudite scholar, cited Abraham Maslow’s theory, emphasizing that the instinct for survival is paramount before any other needs can be addressed.
