The Nigeria Police Force, Ondo State command has paraded eleven suspects for different degrees of crime committed in the state.The Commissioner of Police , Peter Oladapo said the crimes committed by the suspects include  killings, robbery , arson and removing  of the vehicle brain boxes  and  other parts from their victims vehicle.. According to him, the CP said the first cases was in respect of the murder of Mrs Adeni Iyabode, a caterer that was killed sometime ago in Akure and that some suspects had been arrested in respect of this while others are still undergoing interrogation. He said one suspect Kolawole Precious, a sixteen years old Secondary Student who was initially at large but got arrested along side with his co-conspirator Philips Emmanuel,aged 17 years who in his voluntary statement confessed their involvement in the killing of the woman .The CP said the first suspect, Kolawole claimed to have had the victim says that she received some amount of money via her bank account and upon hearing this , the suspect  recruited the second suspect Philip Emmanuel to joined him in killing  the victim.

The clinical investigation revealed of knife wound and matches cut inflicted on the Woman by Philips Emmanuel which led to the death of the victim -Mrs Adeni Iyabode. It was also gathered that the suspect successfully withdrew the some of thirty thousand naira from the bank account of the victim with her ATM after killing her . The CP said the suspects would be charged to Court upon conclusion of their investigation. He advised the general public to always conceived the sensitive information that related to monetary discussion around our domestics staff and also concealing information about our banking details. He also advised people to installed CCTV camera in their house to uptimal safety and Security.

Another Case of Murder 

Another, Case of arrest of murdered suspect was made on the 20th of September, 2024, operative of ondo state police command attached to the Odigbo Divisional Police headquarters acting on a complaint and switching responded and arrested one suspect Monday Chukwu a 35 years old and resident of Akintola Vilage in Odigbo areas. He said the suspect allegedly stabbed one Kelvin Ufando aged 30 to death. The CP explained that discreet investigation revealed that the deceased had borrowed the suspect the some of two thousand naira , and upon demanded for his money from the suspect, after some little argument between the duo, the victim was stabbed to death with scissors by the suspect.

Upon arrival of the scene of the crime , the scene of the crime officer recovered a pear of scissors from the scene while the Medical practitioner confirmed Kelver Ufono Dead. The CP said the suspects had been arrested and when investigation is completed he would be charged to Court . He advised the members of the public to stay away from people who are thuggery and that people should contained themselves so that they don’t fall victim of violence individuals.

Arrest of Suspected Arsonist

Also, on the 18th of September, 2024, a case of suspected arson was reported against one Rhenna Niju of lapepe Bolorunduro. He said the complainant latter find out the burning of his property had been traced to the Chief tancy dispute in the community . He said a few days latter the suspect revisited the complainant property at midnight but luck ran against him as local Vigilantee working in collaboration with the Police arrested him before he could carried out his hernoise act . Items recovered from him including lighter , liquid substance suspected to be petroleum . Indian hemp and Nigeria Flag among others.He said the suspects would be charged to Court upon completion of the investigation. He explained that the motive behind the act of the suspect was yet to be unraveled.

The CP however advised the public to always be vigilant and ensured that they keep their property safe so that the criminal element should not layed hands on them for destruction. He said before this incident the suspect had carried out some evil act around the Bolorunduro areas before luck ran out of them.

Arrest of Suspect of Stealing

On the 6th of September, 2024 at about 0700hours , operative command attached to the Idanre Police headquarters, acting on the intelligence gathering and apprehended the duo of suspect Ifanyin Ugefuna 36years and Joseph Agu 43years . The duo specializing in stealing Vehicles brain boxes and tapping glasses and others valuables from people’s Vehicles and part of complex Vehicles theft and vandalisation vehicle syndicate . The efforts of Police men led to the arrest of Obina Uyanmadu aged 32years and Onyeka Okoye aged 38years who are also members of these syndicate.

Explaining further, the CP said one of the suspect Joseph Argu who lived in Akure confirmed that he sell second hand wears and the man served as infomat who normally invited others syndicate to come to the state and operate and later go  back to the Lagos State.The police had arrested them and they would be charged to Court according to the Commissioner of Police.

Arrest of Suspect of Attempted Robbery.

On the 17th of September, 2024, at about 01100hours, a groups of briders armed with Cutlass  and other dangerous weapons attacked a Dangote Truck along Ago Odogun bridge via Kajola Ore express road while the Driver was trying to fixed the truck loaded with nine hundred bags of cement  The Robbers inflicted injuries on the Driver and later fled into the bush. But one of them Chijoke Agbo aged 38 years , a members of the gang was arrested by the police while investigation is still on going to arrest others.

Arrest and suspected Armed Robbers/Case of Murder.

On the 16th of September 2024 at about 22:52 hours . Ore divisional police head quarters received a report of an ongoing robbery attacks at the premier lotto office in Ore by a four man gang and they swung into action immediately but upon sighted Police men, the robbers opened fire on them but Ojukini  Tiebor aged 42 years and  Christmas Ibakelesi ,aged 39 years and one Sanusi Idowu who fell under the supreme powerful action of the police at the scene, but later died as effort to resusitated him proofed abortive but others were arrested. Some items like guns and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspect.

In a similar event, on the 6th of October, 2024 at about 9;30 pm.A distress call was received by the Policemen about the ongoing Robbery at the Agagu Road in Akure.But the following suspect were arrested. Peter Uche Gabriel aged 28 years, John ThankGod, aged 25 years and Hagga Victor aged 32 years who was cut with a locally made gun.

 

Arrest of Shop Breaking, Burglary and Stealing .

On the 17th September 2024. a case of burglary and stealing was reported at Fannibi Junction in Akure by residence of Oke Ogba areas.The crime scene was visited and the inventory of stolen items was recovered upon investigation, one suspect Tope Babalola who was found wearing of the suspected stealing cloth and he was in possession of an MP3 musical devices that was part of the boggled items.

As investigation progresses, one Timilehin Adewale was also arrested in connection with the robbery as he was found in possession of the  stolen items .The arrest of the duo led to other arrest of other suspect who were in possession of some stolen items .While some were still at large. The items recovered from the suspect are two giant wire cutters, grinding machine, LG TV  , Standing Fans, Three scales, a Vulgarnizer Machine, a Small cooler ,Six KG Gas Cylinder, 5kg gas Cylinder,60kg gas Cylinder filled, 40kg Cable wires .He said suspect had been charged to court while others are still at large.

He  said members of the public who have some of these stolen items have come to identified some of  the items.The CP Peter Oladapo also used the opportunity to asked  the Pressmen being the stakeholders in the state to sensitise the good people of the state during the incoming election that police would not tolerate any form of criminality and thuggery in the Sunshine State.
