As the Gubernatorial election in the state drew nearer, the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party-PDP has called for the removal of the Ondo State Resident Electoral Commissioner-as she would not give the various political parties in the state fair play level ground in the forth coming Governorship election slated on the 16th November 2024. Started this at the Party’s Flag off of the 2024 Ondo State Governorship election campaign held along Oyemekun road Akure, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who is also the leader of the PDP in the South. West  zone disclosed this to the crowd that the REC could not give them a fair level play ground during the election because she is a native of the state hence couldn’t deliver credible election to the good people of Ondo State. He said if they didn’t removed her the party would continue protesting until their demands are meant. He also lamented about the economic hardship people are going through under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress -APC.

In another, dimension, the governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke also supported the move and called made by his counterpart governor of Oyo State that the REC in Ondo State must be removed. He also lamented about the skyrocketed in the price of goods and services in the land and country at large. He said the electorate should vote massively for the People’s Democratic Party-PDP in the coming Governorship election. He asked them to take their campaign to house-to house and deliver their mandates to the PDP . The Acting National Chairman,of the party, Ambassador Illiya Umar Damagun, in his address also called for the removal of the Ondo REC in order to have a credible election. He also condemed the high cost of living and poverty caused by the government of the rulling party via their various economy reform policies that had cost people’s pain. He said he was sure that the good people of the state are feeling the effects of hunger in the state and therefore, he called for paradigm change in the political narrative of the ondo state.

The Governor of Bauchi State HE Mohammed Bala also charged the good people of the state to vote for the PDP in the forth coming Governorship election. He said that he believed that the people of the state are highly cerebral in knowledge in time of  knowing the right person and party to Vote for during the election. He asked the people not  to sell  their consent to the APC but to vote for the PDP. The people were very happy when the  AG National Chairman , PDP, Ambassador  Iliya Umar Damagun handed over the party flag to the candidate Agboola Ajayi in the crowd, he said people should vote for him because he had been tested and trusted by the party that he would deliver . He also said their candidate was a paceter and therefore, called on the electorate to vote for him . In his response, Agboola Ajayi just thanked all the governors that came to support them and his party loyalists in the flag off of the campaign. He also called for the Ondo State REC Removal before the elections.
