Yesterday, the Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) commenced its 2024 Press Week with a Church Thanksgiving.

CLERIC COMMENDS ONDO NUJ FOR APPRECIATING GOD

The General Overseer of Salvation Gospel International Centre, Akure, Senior Apostle Michael Ajibobola Foluso has commended the leadership and members of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo Council for coming for a thanksgiving service in the church in commemoration of their annual Press Week.

The Minister of God noted that most people lose their miracles and breakthroughs because they give glory to individuals or idols rather than God Almighty when they received blessings from God.

He emphasised that God has declared that He is a jealous God and would not hold back His displeasure whenever anyone gives glory to an individual, particularly an idol, when he or she receives blessings from God.

The cleric enjoined journalists and Nigerians to always assess their lives and give thanks to God for the blessings they receive, particularly the gift of life.

In his address, the state Chairman of NUJ, Ondo State Council, Prince Leke Adegbite appreciated the General Overseer for his love journalists and continuous support for the union.

He said the Thanksgiving service became necessary in appreciation of God for keeping all members of the union safe all through the year

According to Adegbite, “We appreciate the General Overseer for his love and support for us always.
He’s a man of great virtues that’s why we are free to associate with him.

“We usually begin our annual Press Week, which is like the Annual General Meeting of many big organizations, in appreciation of God Almighty for protecting us all through the year despite the various excruciating challenges in the country.

L– NUJ Chairman Leke Adegbite, M-Apostle Michael Ajibobola, LG- NUJ Secretary Olaoluwa Meshach

“This is a way of placing our lives and future in the hands of God Almighty for our protection and success in the coming year.”

The Thanksgiving service was attended by a large number of members of NUJ in the state including all members of the state executive of the union.
