OAUSTECH Pays Tribute to Late Secretary to the State Government

The Management of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, has paid glowing tributes to the late Secretary to the State Government, Ondo State, Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, who passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

Hon. Oluwatuyi was a member of the OAUSTECH Governing Council, and his contributions to the development of the institution and the state at large will be greatly missed.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, led a condolence visit to the Oluwatuyi family, where he described Hon. Oluwatuyi as “a complete gentleman, highly organized, humble, and very cerebral.” He assured the family that the university would provide necessary support to ensure a befitting burial.

The wife, Mrs Aderoju Oluwatuyi, and the daughter, Mrs Adeola Olajumoke, received the OAUSTECH team on behalf of the Oluwatuyi family at their Alagbaka residence on Thursday.

A letter of condolences signed by the Vice-Chancellor was also delivered to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the family, conveying the deepest condolences of the OAUSTECH community.

The OAUSTECH team, including members of the Governing Council and Management, also signed a condolence register at the Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, Akure.

The university’s Registrar, Mr. Peter Okunniga, wrote in the condolence register: “You were an astute administrator and politician. OAUSTECH will miss your wisdom and contributions. RIP.”

The OAUSTECH community prays that God grants the family, friends, and the entire state the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May Hon. Oluwatuyi’s legacy continues to inspire us to strive for excellence.
