
Glamour As dignatories graced Akintade Anthony Akinniranye 60th birthday and Pens down ceremony as he Bows Out Of Civil Service
It was a gathering of top government functionaries of Ondo State friends and families and people of great substance from all walks of life as an illustrious son of Ile-Oluji Mr. Akintade Anthony Akinniranye bowed out of Federal Civil Service after attaining 60 years of untainted life.
Mr Akinniranye retired as Deputy Director Programmes, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Ondo State Directorate with many accolades and commendations for a job well done to the nation and humanity.
At the Retirement Party and 60th birthday Ceremony held at SITA in Akure on 21st of March, 2025 his virtues of excellence were extolled to high heaven for others that are still in active service to learn from.
Some of those that spoke at the venue of the ceremony like the Chairman of the occasion, Rtd Director of Ondo NOA , Mr Bode Famose said Akintade has distinguished himself through a dint of hard work and consistent in upholding the tenets of a public servant. Mr Famose said the period Akinniranye worked with him proved to be a dedicated officer of high integrity . He therefore called on all public servants to follow his virtues.
In a separate interview with News men at the event, the celebrant, Mr. Akintade Akinniranye said his 28 years of active service has been challenging and tasking but rewarding with the help of God he was able to weather the storm.
“My experience in Civil Service has been quite challenging and tough but I thank God. I started from the scratch but today I’m retiring as Deputy Director of Federal Civil Service.
Mr. Akinniranye stated he his not tired and that he can put his gathered experience in good use to served at any level required of him.
Mr. Akintade Anthony Akinniranye was born on the 3rd of March, 1965 to the family of late High Chief Sasere Samuel Akinnifesi Akinnranye of Ile-Oluji, Ondo State and late Mrs. Evelyn Omotese Sado nee Eigbobo of Idunmebo Irrua, Edo State.
*EDUCATION:*
He started his academic pursuit at Uchi Primary School, Auchi in 1972 and obtained his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1978. He proceeded to Gboluji Anglican Grammar School, Ile-Oluji and later to Holy Saviour’s High School, Ile-Oluji where he obtained West African School Certificate (WASC)
After his secondary education he undertook an Apprenticeship Training in Printing Press under the Federal Government Open Apprenticeship Scheme for skill Acquisition and Entrepreneur between 1987 and 1990 by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
In 1990, he got admission to the Ondo State University Ado – Ekiti (OSUA) now Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti where he graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in History (B.A. Hons. History).

*CAREER:*
He began his civil service career on 4th December 1997, as he was offered a provisional appointment as Orientation Officer II at the National Orientation Agency and was posted to Ekiti State Directorate of the Agency where he worked at various Departments in the Directorate. He later served as a field officer and worked at the local government level as Community Orientation and Mobilization Officer (COMO). While working in Ekiti, he was a reliable, dedicated, efficient and diligent in the discharge of his duty.
He was later transferred from Ekiti State Directorate of the Agency to Ondo State Directorate where he continued his work dedication and passion.
In the Directorate, he served as Community Orientation and Mobilization Officer in Akoko North East and Akoko North West Local Government Areas, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo local government and Akure South Local Government Areas before he was redeployed to the Programmes Department at the State Headquarters where he rose to the position of Deputy Director Programme as well as the Head of the Department until his retirement.
*WORKING EXPERIENCE:*
As the head of programmes department, he initiated and implemented numerous programmes at the state and local government levels in actualization of the Agency’s mandate. He was privileged to work with Six (6) State Directors both in Ekiti and Ondo State Directorate, namely: Dr. Tunde Ajayi, Mr. Dayo Famosaya both at Ekiti State Directorate; Mr. Bode Famose, Mr. Olawumi Famuyiwa, Mrs. Adelayo Adefolalu and the present Ondo State Director, Mr. James Adekunle.
As a result of resilience, commitment and dedication to work, he was appointed to represent the Agency at different inter-ministerial committees and international programmes/projects as:
