Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State have thrown their full weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s anticipated 2027 re-election bid, while reaffirming their support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
In a communiqué issued at the end of a high-level meeting held on June 5 at Atimati House, Alagbaka, Akure, the party leaders outlined key resolutions aimed at strengthening internal party cohesion and organizational effectiveness ahead of future political contests.
Top of the agenda was a vote of confidence in President Tinubu, with the leaders vowing to mobilize grassroots support to ensure the success of his Renewed Hope Agenda. “We are fully committed to the re-election of Mr. President in 2027 to consolidate on the gains of his administration,” the communiqué stated.
The meeting, attended by prominent figures including Hon. D.I. Kekemeke (APC National Vice Chairman, Southwest) and Ambassador Sola Iji, also saw the leaders congratulating Governor Aiyedatiwa on his recent legal victory at the Election Petitions Tribunal, pledging unwavering loyalty to his government.
In a bid to improve party coordination, the leaders resolved that local government meetings be held bimonthly, while ward meetings will occur monthly. They also announced the formation of an Elders’ Council to provide strategic guidance and foster unity among party members.
All elected and appointed officials from Ese-Odo were urged to maintain regular consultations with party elders to ensure inclusive and effective leadership.
The resolutions, jointly signed by top political figures from Ese-Odo, reflect a concerted effort to fortify the APC’s structure in the region and position it for electoral success at all levels.
