PARAMILITARY RECRUITMENT

In a landmark move to bolster national security and emergency response services, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu GCFR has approved the recruitment of 30,359 personnel across four major paramilitary agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

This massive recruitment drive, revealed in a status report issued by the CDCFIB on June 3, 2025, aims to strengthen manpower in key security and rescue services. The approval covers the Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. Additionally, 209 personnel will be recruited into the CDCFIB Secretariat itself.

Below is the breakdown of the approved slots per agency:

Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS): 5,150 personnel

Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS): 10,000 personnel

Federal Fire Service (FFS): 5,000 personnel

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC): 10,000 personnel

CDCFIB Secretariat: 209 personnel

According to the Board, application portals will open on June 13, 2025, and remain active for a strict period of three (3) weeks. Interested and eligible Nigerians are urged to prepare and apply promptly as late applications will not be considered.

This recruitment is part of the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to improve internal security, border control, and emergency management nationwide.
