Tayo Adu Hails Gbenga Elegbeleye’s NPFL Tenure Extension, Cites Leadership Excellence
AKURE — Celebrated media practitioner and community leader, Otunba Oluwatayo Moses Adu, has congratulated Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye on the extension of his tenure as Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), describing it as a well-earned recognition of his sterling leadership.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently extended the tenures of the heads of the NPFL, Nigeria National League (NNL), and Nationwide League One (NLO) to align with the duration of the current NFF board under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau.
Reacting to the development, Otunba Adu lauded the decision, noting that Elegbeleye’s reappointment reflects his outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to repositioning domestic football.
“With Hon. Elegbeleye at the helm, Nigerian football has witnessed renewed credibility and progress. His extension is not just timely but richly deserved,” Adu stated.
He expressed optimism that the Nigerian league would continue on its upward trajectory under Elegbeleye’s continued stewardship.
