*OAUSTECH Vice-Chancellor Congratulates Prince Poroye on Appointment as OSOPADEC Chairman
Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, Vice-Chancellor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, has extended warm congratulations to Prince Biyi Poroye on his appointment as Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that Prince Poroye’s appointment is a testament to his leadership skills, expertise, and dedication to the development of Ondo State.
Prof. Ologunorisa expressed confidence that Prince Poroye would work tirelessly to ensure the optimal development of the oil-producing areas in the state, leveraging his experience and vision to make a positive impact.
The appointment of Prince Poroye and other members of the OSOPADEC board was announced by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on June 6, 2025. The new board is expected to build on the foundation laid by the previous administration, aligning with the state’s OUR EASE Agenda for the betterment of the people in the mandate areas.
Other notable figures who have congratulated Prince Poroye on his appointment include Hon. Banji B. Okunomo, former Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, and Hon. Modimu Beauty Fayowole, Vice Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government. They praised the Governor’s choice, describing it as a thoughtful and strategic decision that reflects his confidence in Prince Poroye’s abilities.
