Joseph Adesuyan has emerged as the new chairman of the Ondo State Online Media Professionals (OMP) after securing victory in a closely contested election.

The Electoral Committee, led by Richard Ilesanmi as Chairman and Kayode Animasaun as Secretary, declared the results on Thursday. Adesuyan polled 11 votes to defeat his opponent, Temitope Adedeji, who garnered 3 votes.

Other positions saw Agidi Mary returned unopposed as Treasurer with 13 votes, while Isaac Afolabi also secured 13 votes to clinch the post of Financial Secretary. The committee confirmed that the election was free of void votes.

In his acceptance speech, Adesuyan thanked members for entrusting him with the leadership of the association and pledged to steer the group with integrity, dedication, and commitment to its growth. He also extended a hand of fellowship to his challenger, Adedeji, calling on him to work together for a united and stronger OMP.
