EFCC Nabs 17 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Nasarawa, Recovers Luxury Items

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Nasarawa State. The operatives of the Abuja Zonal Directorate of the EFCC apprehended the suspects on Tuesday, July 17, 2025, at Mararaba area of Nasarawa state, following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet-related crime.

Recovered Items
– Five cars
– 20 phones
– Four laptops

Next Steps
The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded. The EFCC’s action is part of its efforts to tackle cybercrime and ensure that individuals engaging in internet fraud face the full weight of the law ¹ ².
