Ilaje LG Chairman Restores Electricity to Secretariat

In a bid to enhance administrative efficiency and improve service delivery among staff of Ilaje Local Government Area in Ondo State, the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Oripelaye Maurice, has successfully restored electricity to the council Secretariat.
According to information received from the Chairman’s media aide, the Secretariat had remained in total darkness for decades, with no effort made by previous administrations to address the situation.
Ilaje Local Government, one of the most vibrant and resource-rich areas in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State, is the only local government area in the state endowed with crude oil. Despite its contributions to the state’s economy and beyond, the region has long suffered from a lack of basic social amenities, particularly electricity and potable water, affecting both indigenes and non-indigenes.
With the recent electricity connection, the Secretariat is now fully powered, which will greatly ease the work of council staff and boost productivity. The staff expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s bold initiative and urged him to continue with developmental projects aimed at transforming the Secretariat and surrounding communities, thereby delivering the dividends of democracy.
