The Federal Government has announced the closure of 47 Federal Government Colleges, also known as Unity Schools, across the country. The closure became necessary following rising security challenges nationwide.

According to a source, the principals of the affected schools have been directed to strictly comply with the instructions contained in the released document in order to prevent any security breach.

The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa who ordered the closure of the schools as stated in a circular dated 21st December, urged all concerned principals to take immediate action to safeguard the lives and property of the nation’s future leaders.

The affected schools include Federal Science and Technica College-FSTC IKare, Akoko,  Federal Government Academy , Suleja and host of others. Details below
