Federal Polytechnic Rector Urges Muslims to Embrace Sacrifice, Compassion at Eid al-Adha
The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has felicitated with Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebration, urging them to imbibe the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, love, and compassion as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
In his Eid message made available to journalists, the Rector, on behalf of his family, staff, and students of the institution, rejoiced with the Muslim faithful within the Polytechnic community and across the country for witnessing another Ileya celebration.
Dr. Ebeloku described Eid al-Adha as a significant period in the Islamic calendar that strengthens believers’ faith in Allah and reinforces the values of patience, trust, and total obedience to divine instructions.
According to him, the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command remains a lesson for mankind on unwavering faith and submission to God.
The Rector also called on Nigerians to use the festive season to extend love and support to the needy and less-privileged in society.
He stressed the need for people to make sacrifices that would promote peaceful coexistence, resilience, gratitude, and good neighbourliness within their communities.
Dr. Ebeloku further wished Muslims a peaceful and joyful Eid al-Adha celebration.
