Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, CIPM Explore Strategic Partnership on Human Resource Development
4th June , 2026

Efforts to strengthen professional development and enhance employability opportunities for students received a boost as the Ondo State Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) paid a courtesy visit to the Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, to discuss areas of collaboration.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, brought together key officials of both institutions to explore partnerships in professional training, accreditation, membership registration, and capacity-building initiatives.
Leading the CIPM delegation was the Branch Chairman, Mrs. Pamela Elekwachi, accompanied by Mrs. Oladipo Bosede (Treasurer), Barr. Natasha Abayomi (Ex-Officio I), and Mr. Akintan Akindele (Ex-Officio II).
Welcoming the delegation, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, described the visit as significant and timely, noting that the Institute remains a foremost regulatory and professional body for Human Resource Management practice in Nigeria.
According to him, CIPM’s commitment to professional excellence, ethics, and continuous development aligns with the Polytechnic’s vision of producing competent and industry-ready graduates.
“Your dedication to upholding standards, ethics, and continuous professional development mirrors the values we instill in our students. Your visit today confirms that the work we do in training HR personnel here is recognised and valued at the highest professional level,” the Rector stated.
Dr. Ebeloku assured the delegation of the institution’s readiness to deepen collaboration with the Institute through programme accreditation, staff induction, student membership, and joint professional development programmes.
Speaking on behalf of the Institute, Mrs. Elekwachi expressed appreciation to the Polytechnic Management for the warm reception and reiterated CIPM’s commitment to building a mutually beneficial relationship with the institution.
She identified areas of possible collaboration to include training programmes, seminars, conferences, and membership registration for staff and students. She also proposed career clinics aimed at equipping students with skills and insights needed to remain competitive in the labour market.
At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to appoint liaison representatives to coordinate discussions and facilitate the implementation of the proposed partnership framework.
Mrs. Elekwachi further invited members of the Polytechnic’s Management team to participate in the forthcoming CIPM Conference scheduled to hold in Akure, Ondo State, from August 12 to 13, 2026.
The visit featured an exchange of souvenirs and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Deputy Registrar, Division of Information, Protocol and Passages, Mr. Sanmi Enigbokan.
Among those present at the meeting were the Deputy Rector, Dr. Samson Adehuga Omogbehin; the Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Adeyemi Awe; the Bursar, Mr. Sehinde Ebenezer Olabode; the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. (Mrs.) Fasa Rachael Aladeniyi; Acting Head of the Department of Business Administration and Management, Mrs. Kudirat Folorunso; Senior Assistant Registrar, Rectory, Mr. Festus Ogunruku; and Assistant Registrar, Division of Information, Protocol and Passages, Mr. Akindele Oyebanji.
