DEMOCRACY DAY 2026: OSOPADEC Calls for Unity, Peace and Commitment to Democratic Ideals

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, urging citizens to uphold the values of unity, peace, and democratic governance.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, the Board, Management, and Staff of the Commission extended their felicitations to Nigerians, with special recognition of the resilient and hardworking people residing in the Commission’s mandate areas.
OSOPADEC described June 12 as a historic date that symbolizes Nigeria’s enduring commitment to freedom, justice, and democracy, noting that the occasion provides an opportunity for reflection on the nation’s democratic journey and collective aspirations.
The Commission also called on Nigerians to remain vigilant, united, and prayerful amid prevailing security challenges, while expressing optimism that the country will overcome its difficulties and achieve lasting peace and safety.
According to the Commission, sustained commitment to democratic principles remains essential to building a nation that reflects the hopes and aspirations of all citizens.
