NOA Appoints Oguntuase as Acting Ondo State Director

By Raphael Oguntibeju

The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has appointed Mrs. Bolanle Janet Oguntuase as the Acting State Director of the Agency in Ondo State following the retirement of Mrs. Olufunke Moradeyo Adekunle.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, ushers in a new leadership at the Ondo State Directorate as Oguntuase assumes responsibility for coordinating the Agency’s activities across the state.
According to a statement issued by the Head of Media and Communication Department, Ondo NOA, Mr. Ralph Oguntibeju, the new Acting State Director brings nearly three decades of experience in public orientation and community mobilization to the office.
The statement noted that her appointment comes at a time when the Agency is intensifying efforts to promote national values, civic responsibility, patriotism and public enlightenment across Ondo State.
It added that her leadership is expected to focus on staff welfare, institutional discipline, ethical work culture and the implementation of people-centred orientation programmes aimed at promoting national unity and sustainable development.
Mrs. Oguntuase, an indigene of Ikole-Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, attended Methodist Primary School, Ikole-Ekiti, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ire-Ekiti, before obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the then Ondo State University, now Ekiti State University (EKSU).
She joined the National Orientation Agency in 1998 as an Orientation Officer II and has since served in various capacities, including as Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officer in Okitipupa, Ilaje and Irele Local Government Areas, where she was recognised for her dedication and community engagement.
In 2023, she received the Agency’s Award of Excellent Performance in recognition of her outstanding service. She later served as Assistant Director in the Office of the State Director before being promoted to Deputy Director in the Special Duties Department.
The Agency expressed confidence that Oguntuase would build on the achievements of her predecessor by providing strategic leadership that would strengthen NOA programmes and deepen citizens’ engagement with government policies and initiatives in Ondo State.
Members of staff of the Ondo State Directorate also expressed confidence in her ability to provide purposeful leadership and advance the Agency’s vision of building an informed, united and responsible citizenry.
