Ilaje LG Chairman Empowers Youths, Women, Elders, Party Leaders
The Executive Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Maurice Oripenaye (ARAH), has disbursed financial empowerment to youths, women, elders and party leaders across the 12 wards of the local government.
The empowerment, which was approved by the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, is aimed at improving the welfare of party stakeholders, boosting their businesses and supporting their sources of livelihood.
Speaking during the disbursement ceremony held at the Ilaje Local Government Secretariat Hall on Friday, September 11, 2026, Oripenaye described the initiative as a demonstration of the governor’s commitment to the welfare of party stakeholders.
According to him, the empowerment programme is the second edition for the month of September and forms part of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s EASE Policy Agenda, which is aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The council chairman said the initiative reflected the administration’s commitment, support and genuine concern for the wellbeing of party members and stakeholders.
He urged beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by demonstrating greater dedication, commitment and loyalty to the progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the local government.
Oripenaye also appealed to youths, women and elders who were not beneficiaries of the latest empowerment to remain patient, assuring them that the programme was a continuous exercise.
The empowerment programme was moderated by the APC Publicity Secretary in Ilaje Local Government, Comrade Agbeni Blessing O.
The event was attended by principal local government executives, ward executives, political appointees, party elders and other notable APC stakeholders in the local government.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa, Chairman Oripenaye and the APC leadership in Ilaje for what they described as a demonstration of the dividends of democracy.
Among those present at the event were the Ilaje Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Esejuwon Oluwarantimi; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Segun Odolo; all ward councillors; APC Vice Chairman in Ilaje LG, Hon. Egbowon Adekunle; APC Secretary, Hon. Omoyele Ayo; APC Publicity Secretary, Comrade Agbeni Blessing; APC General Woman Leader, Hon. (Mrs.) Ayantuga Sade; supervisors; special advisers; youths; women; elders; political appointees and other party leaders.
The empowerment initiative is expected to further strengthen the economic activities and welfare of beneficiaries across the 12 wards of Ilaje Local Government.
