The Ebo Development Forum (EDF), a union of distinguished sons and daughters of Ebo community in Oka-Akoko both at home and in the diaspora, led by Dr. Ayodele Alegbeleye (Abuja) and Engr. (Dr.) Olusehinde Omotayo (USA) has at the end of their 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), congratulated Hon. (Mrs) Elizabeth Moyosore Olorunmonu, the first female deputy governorship candidate from Akoko South West Local Government, Ondo State and fondly called “Moody Lizzy” by her friends and political associates. Mrs. Olorunmonu represents a beacon of hope and progress for Oka-Akoko community.
The forum commended Moody Lizzy for her giant strides and remarkable role in Oka-Akoko communities, describing her as an exceptional leader and an illustrious daughter of the soil. The chairman of the forum, Dr. Ayodele Alegbeleye, charged the ADP deputy governorship candidate to remain steadfast in her political journey and continue her commitment in serving Oka-Akoko community.
From the United States, the vice chairman of the forum, Engr. (Dr.) Olusehinde Omotayo and Prof. Gabriel Olubunmi Alegbeleye of the University of Ibadan, who served as Grand patron for the forum congratulatute and call on Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to adopt an inclusive governance approach. They urged the governor to incorporate experienced individuals, women, and contestants such as Hon. Ayodeji Akinnodi popularly known as “Eja Nla” and Hon. (Mrs) Elizabeth Moyosore Olorunmonu into his cabinet for the overall benefit of the state.
Dr. Omotayo, speaking from New Jersey, reiterated the forum’s unwavering support for women’s political aspirations not only in Oka-Akoko communities but across Ondo State.
Dr. Ayodele Alegbeleye, on behalf of the eminent sons and daughters of Ebo community, both at home and abroad, extended heartfelt wishes to Hon. (Mrs) Elizabeth Moyosore Olorunmonu for a remarkable success in her future political engagements.
