Police Arrest Two More Suspects in Connection to Mrs. Odumosu’s Kidnap
Operatives Recover N2.25m, Firearms, and Cartridges

In a breakthrough development following the directive from Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM., operatives from the Lagos State CP Special Squad have arrested two additional suspects linked to the kidnapping of Mrs. Odumosu, wife of Retired Assistant-Inspector General (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu.

The suspects, identified as Agbojule Smart (27) and Keleke Michael (30), were apprehended early this morning, Friday, January 24, 2025, as they attempted to flee Lagos. During questioning, they confessed to being part of a four-member gang, two of whom were previously neutralized. In their possession, police recovered N2.25 million, part of the ransom money, two locally fabricated rifles, and 11 live cartridges.

The IGP commended the operatives for their dedication and success in apprehending these suspects, praising their efforts in the ongoing fight against crime. He reiterated the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to ensuring public safety and maintaining peace throughout the country.
