The late Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, former Secretary to the Ondo State Government, was commemorated by the state’s Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and other prominent figures during a Service of Songs and Christian Wake on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade in Akure.

The somber occasion, part of a series of tributes ahead of the late Oluwatuyi’s burial, brought together several political and administrative leaders. Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded the departed SSG for his exemplary public service, describing him as a dedicated leader who made significant contributions to the growth of Ondo State.

During the event, a Bible reading by Mrs. Jumoke Adeola, daughter of the deceased, from Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 highlighted life’s transient nature. Pastor James Onagwa delivered an exhortation on preparing for eternity, while Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire and others shared heartfelt tributes to the late Oluwatuyi’s character and achievements.

The final rites for the late SSG are scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2025.
