Akure, April 25, 2025

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) for Zone 17, overseeing Ondo and Ekiti State Commands, AIG Ajani Musibau Omolabi psc(+), recently engaged with members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in a crucial interactive session. The meeting, held in Akure, was focused on exploring collaborative strategies aimed at improving security across the region.

AIG Ajani highlighted the importance of joint efforts in maintaining law and order, emphasizing that security is a collective responsibility between the Police and the community. He urged PCRC members to continue their active involvement by providing timely information and actionable intelligence, crucial to supporting police operations and enhancing crime prevention measures.

The AIG commended the PCRC members for their consistent support and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring public safety. He also reiterated his open-door policy, assuring the PCRC that they could approach him at any time with concerns or suggestions, further fostering trust and transparency between the police and the community.

The session concluded with PCRC members expressing their appreciation for AIG Ajani’s proactive leadership and his commitment to inclusive and community-based policing.
