The Presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has said that the entire Nigeria is insecure. He disclosed this at the Party’s Presidential rally held in Akure, in Ondo State on Saturday 14th, January, 2023.

According to him, the entire Nigeria is insecured as people are living in fear while killing is every where. He berated the ruling party , APC and the PDP for looting the Nation treasury and causing poverty in the land . He said the two political parties candidates are corrupt and as a result of this ,he asked the Nigerians not to vote for them in the forth coming general election.

Speaking further, he said if he become President, he would make sure that the security Agencies works in a good environment. He promised to provide them a good  insurance policy against any unforeseen circumstances (death) that may likely happened to them in the cause of carrying out their duties to the nation.
He continued his words on the security that he and his running mate Senator Datti would want to secured Nigeria and moving the country forward from the level of consumption to construction.

He said he would support business to growth and made the environment conducive for the business to thrive.
In another development, Obi said it’s time for all to see ourselves as one Nigerians rather than dwelling on the ethnicity and segregation which had posing a barrier for us to move forward as a country.

In his words ” we don’t want Tribe and Religion again. It’s your turn to take back your Country. We want to change Nigeria, go and pick up your PVC , vote Labour Party and stand by your Votes”.
Similarly, he spoke on the educational system in the country , that Nigerians Youths and the lecturers would not have any cuase to go on strike if he become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as their four years duration course would be four years.He promised to end strike in the Universities if elected.

He also said that if given the mandate he would make sure that every Nigerians live a better life and he would make life better for them so that they could be proud that they are Nigerians.

Obi who said he and his running mate Ahmed Datti are the most qualified Nigerians to rule this country as they both have good records to be proud of.

He however, promised to give electricity to the southern part of the Ondo State if he become President.
In the words of his running mate, Senator Datti, he said Nothern Nigerians are ready for the Labour Party. He also said he is proud to be a Nigerian and associated with the Yoruba people.

He said we need to respect all Nigerians. He opinioned that anybody that doesn’t respect you will not lead you well. He accused APC and PDP of looting the Nation’s treasury .He however, said that they would stop the killing and start the healing of Nigeria.

In the words of Chief Sola Ebiseni, the Labour Party South West Coordinator, said he was sent by the Afenifere (The Yoruba Socio Cultural Ethnic group) to tell the people of Ondo State that it’s the turn of Obi to be the President.

He said they picked Obi based on his credibility as he was not owning any body while he was a Governor. Ebiseni, who is the General Secretary of the Afenifere, said that Yoruba and Housa people has done it before , and now it’s the turn of the South East to produce the next President.

He concluded by saying that we are people of honour in Yoruba land and as a result of that , he asked people to vote for their candidates.
