JAIZ Bank Raises SMS Transaction Alert Fee from ₦4 to ₦5.95

By Exponent News, Akure | June 19, 2025

JAIZ Bank has announced an increase in the cost of SMS transaction alerts from ₦4 to ₦5.95 per message. The update was communicated to customers via a notification citing a rise in telecommunications service tariffs as the reason for the adjustment.

An excerpt from the message reads:

> Dear Customer,

We understand that any increase in charges can be difficult, and we genuinely empathize with how this may affect you. Your comfort, trust, and satisfaction remain very important to us.

Please be informed that the cost of SMS transaction alerts has been revised from ₦4 to ₦5.95 per message, effective 1st May 2025, due to an increase in telecom tariffs by service providers across Nigeria.

While the new rate stands at ₦6, JAIZ Bank has consciously set the charge at ₦5.95 as a reflection of our commitment to easing the burden on you, our valued customer.

This decision was made after a thorough review of external cost pressures, and in response to factors beyond our control. We remain dedicated to providing timely, secure, and reliable transaction alerts to keep you informed and in control of your banking.

We truly appreciate your continued loyalty and understanding. For any questions or assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer support team via the channels listed below.

Thank you for choosing JAIZ Bank Plc.
Warm regards,

The bank assures customers of its continued commitment to quality service despite rising operational costs.
