
NACOLM Senior Officers Visit Ondo Police Command, Reaffirm Commitment to Inter-Agency Security Collaboration

In a move to bolster inter-agency synergy and promote national security, senior leadership and staff officers of Course 3/2025 from the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Ikeja, Lagos, paid a courtesy visit to the Ondo State Police Command in Akure.
Led by Colonel A.A. Adegboye, the visiting delegation was warmly received by the Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, CP Lawal Adebowale, psc(+), mnips, and his management team. The visit aimed to foster greater collaboration between security institutions and share strategic insights into modern security operations.
As part of their visit, the officers were taken on a comprehensive tour of the Command’s key departments and operational units. The guided tour provided an in-depth overview of the Police Command’s internal structure and emphasized the value of inter-agency cooperation, particularly in intelligence sharing, logistics coordination, and joint operations.
During the visit, CP Lawal delivered a lecture titled “Optimizing National Security through a Whole of Society Approach”, highlighting the Command’s dedication to inclusive security strategies, stakeholder engagement, protection of critical infrastructure, and ongoing capacity building. He acknowledged the recent deployment of a modern gunboat to the Command by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, a development that has significantly enhanced the Command’s capacity to police both inland and coastal regions of the state.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session, during which the visiting officers engaged the Commissioner with questions on the challenges and prospects of inter-agency collaboration. CP Lawal provided detailed responses, reinforcing the importance of unity among all security stakeholders.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Colonel Adegboye conveyed the goodwill of the Commandant of NACOLM, Major General A.M. Adetuyi, and praised the Ondo Police Command for its professionalism, hospitality, and strategic orientation. He reaffirmed the College’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the Nigeria Police Force to enhance national security outcomes.
The visit marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to implement a “Whole of Society” security framework, which relies on collaboration between all segments of society and the nation’s security architecture to maintain peace and stability.
