
Ondo Police Nab Suspect Over ₦10m Threat, Hunt Accomplice

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested one Muhammad Julli in connection with a case of extortion and threat to life, following a complaint lodged by Alhaji who had received multiple menacing calls demanding ₦10 million.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the suspect was tracked and arrested in Kutigi, Niger State, after operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad launched a discreet investigation.
The suspect reportedly confessed that his phone and SIM cards were used in the crime by an accomplice identified as Sani, currently on the run and believed to be hiding in Kakafu village, Kwara State. Police say efforts are ongoing to apprehend him.
Reiterating its resolve to flush out criminal elements, the Command stressed that no matter the location, distance, or disguise, perpetrators of crime will be fished out and prosecuted.
The Police further urged residents of the state to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to security agencies.
