….saying his aspiration is driven by a desire to inject fresh ideas into governance and support Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s EASE agenda for the state’s transformation.

23rd October, 2025

Omolade Phillip Alaba, a businessman has said that he is joining the race for the Ondo State House of Assembly to bring in fresh ideas and complement the EASE agenda of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to transform the state.

Alaba, while speaking with journalists on Friday in Akure said Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s 7-point of “Our Ease” agenda; “Order and security: Ensuring a safe environment for all citizens. Rural and urban development: Addressing development needs in both rural and urban areas of the state. Technological advancement: Promoting and integrating technology across various sectors. Healthcare: Strengthening healthcare delivery and access for the populace. Power: Improving power supply and infrastructure. Infrastructure: Developing and upgrading infrastructure across the state. Education: Enhancing the quality and accessibility of education, will go a long way for the people of the state.

He, therefore, said he is well prepared and trusting the people of his constituency to consider him for the ticket for the Ifedore Constituency 1.

According to him, “I’m well prepared to complement Governor Aiyedatiwa’s 7-point agenda in order to move the state forward.

Alaba, who said that he decided to run for the office because he is qualified and fit to represent the constituency in the State House of Assembly said; “the current lawmaker is not contesting again because he is going to the House of Representatives seat.

“I have met with him and he has said that he is going to the House of Representatives. And besides, my town, Ibulesoro has never gone to the State House of Assembly since the creation of Ondo State and that is why I’m contesting for the seat of the House of Assembly.

“For the fact that my town has never gone to the House of Assembly, I strongly believe that my constituents will support and vote for me.

“The current lawmaker has done his best but I know that I will do more when I get there by God’s grace.

“I will arrange all our leaders in the entire Ifedore Local Government Area to be united, and we are going to move forward in terms of developmental projects. I will facilitate many developmental projects to the Ifedore Local Government Area.

“I will also facilitate different types of developmental programmes for our youths and women for them to be self-reliant.

“We can also see what our dear Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa is doing in Ondo State, while I will do my best to complement his efforts towards developing the state through my good projects and ideas. For instance now, the reconstruction of Ijare road here in Ifedore Local Government Area is ongoing and we give kudos to him.”
