Ondo State Mourns Victims of Woro Attack, Extends Sympathy to Kwara

The Ondo State Government has commiserated with the Government and people of Kwara State following the deadly attack on Woro community, which claimed innocent lives and disrupted peace in the area.
In a statement issued on Monday, the state government described the incident as painful and disturbing, noting that it underscores the persistent security challenges confronting parts of the country.
Ondo State expressed sympathy with the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the families of the victims, and residents of Woro community, assuring them of its solidarity during the difficult period.
The government also prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the attack, while asking God to grant comfort, strength and healing to the bereaved families. Those injured in the incident were wished a speedy and full recovery.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace, unity and collective action against violence, the Ondo State Government stressed that acts of insecurity must not be allowed to threaten national cohesion or the safety of communities.
The state further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the prompt deployment of a battalion of military personnel to the affected areas, describing the move as a crucial step toward restoring peace and security.
The statement was signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku.
