PSC Fixes Dates for Police Recruitment Exam, Warns Applicants Against Fraud
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has scheduled the written examination for prospective Police Constables nationwide from April 28 to 30, 2026, cautioning applicants to beware of scams and fraudulent demands during the recruitment process.
In a statement issued in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Commission said the exercise will take place across designated centres in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with only candidates who passed the earlier physical and credential screening eligible to participate.
In Ondo State, the examination will hold at Police Secondary School, Iju, Itaogbolu.
Applicants are required to log on to the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which contains details of their scheduled date, time, and venue.
The PSC outlined compulsory items for the examination, including a pen, a National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) bearing a clear photograph, and the printed invitation card. Candidates are also expected to appear in white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, the Commission stressed that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and warned that anyone involved in job racketeering or financial inducement would face legal consequences.
The Ondo State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal, urged candidates to adhere strictly to the guidelines and arrive early at the examination venue.
The Command also provided contact channels for inquiries, including a dedicated phone line and its verified social media platforms.
