Aiyedatiwa Makes Fresh Appointments, Names New Board Chairmen, Members
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of new chairmen, members and a Special Adviser as part of a fresh reconstitution of key state agencies and boards.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, include a new Special Adviser on Special Duties and Strategy, as well as leadership changes at the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Local Government Service Commission, Muslim Welfare Board, Christian Welfare Board and Consumer Protection Agency.
Mr Femi Fadairo was appointed Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties and Strategy, replacing Hon. Gani Mohammed, who has been redeployed as Special Adviser on Mines and Mineral Resources.
For the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, Mrs Brown Ademilegun was appointed full-time Chairman, while Hon. Christopher Olorunfemi and Dr. Olarewaju Oyelade were named full-time members.
Hon. Tayo Fayanju, Hon. Maurice Oripelaye, representing ALGON, and Comr. Ayodele Samuel Leke of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) were appointed part-time members, alongside other statutory members.
Pastor Segun Ayerin will chair the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission. The commission will also have Dr. Bunmi Eniayewu, Barr. Ogbaro Oyerinde, Mrs Ronke Ojo and Mr. Alonge Niyi Dennis as full-time members.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Adam Chandy was appointed Chairman of the Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board, with Alhaji Muhammad Kamaldeen Akinyemi, Alhaji Akorede Nuren Olatunde, Alhaja Fausat Olorunyomi and Alhaji Abdulrasheed Olawoye as members.
The Ondo State Christian Welfare Board will be chaired by Pastor Peter Abimbola. Other members are Rev. Fr. Patrick Adebayo, Pst. Mrs. Omoyemi Bosede Ore, Prophet Emilere Arabija Aiyedatiwa and Rev. Jide Baptist.
Mr. Oluyemi Fashipe was also appointed Chairman of the Ondo State Consumer Protection Agency.
Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated the appointees and charged them to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, transparency and commitment to the interests of the people of Ondo State.
